About God
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He is one God, and He has eternally existed in three coequal and distinct personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is perfectly holy, just, loving and truthful.
About Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin, Mary. He is coequal with the Father and Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again someday to earth to reign as King.
About the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. By his indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life and minister in His power. The baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 1:4-8 and 2:4 is poured out on believers that they might have power to be witnesses. We believe in and practice the gifts of the Spirit as described in I Corinthians 12:1-30.
About the Bible
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error. It is the supreme source of truth.
About Human Beings
We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him but became alienated in that relationship through disobedience. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin". Sin separates us from God and causes many problems in our life. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.
About Salvation
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.
About the Christian Life
We believe all Christians should live for Christ and not for themselves. By obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Christ. The victorious redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides freedom from the power of the enemy - sin, lies, sickness and torment.
About Eternity
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.
About the Church
The Church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. He gave His Church the ordinances of Baptism and Communion. The Church exists to glorify God and to carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ and further advance His kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy, preaching and living the good news of God's love, discipling the nations, baptizing and teaching them to love and obey God.
