Hello Kurt! Wow! The electronic yodeling pickle does demand some sort of response! I am reminded that we should not lay up treasures on earth where they will be eaten by moths, rust or decay. Rather our treasures should be laid up in heaven where all these problems do not reside. So our treasures should be ones of eternal value that the world does not put much stock in but that which please God. Being kind, generous, loving, and eager to share the good news of Jesus are treasures that come to mind. I am challenged by the words I read in Scripture to have a heart of compassion for the poor, the widow, the orphan, the injured. I am convicted that I fall so short of this, but thankful that the Spirit of God gives me His strength, power and wisdom to reach out to those in need. Having gone through a process of eliminating material things (much like electronic yodeling pickles - yes they are fun!) to move to China in 10 suitcases, I am finding that is just as easy- if not easier due to low prices - to accumulate things here as it was in the US. Thank you Kurt for reminding me to have an eternal perspective!
