A message from Pastor Kurt and Marla
Hello!
We are so happy that you have found us. Allow us to share a few things about Renaissance Church.
Our church is a new church plant in the south Charlotte area, in the beginning stages. We are a mobile church at this time. (Most of our gatherings meet in and draw people from places like Ballantyne, Pineville, Matthews, South Park, Waxhaw, Weddington, or Indian Land.) Renaissance is a non-denominational Christian church. We are a multi-ethnic church with a strong focus on reaching out to the community with the love of Jesus Christ. We believe that God still does miracles today, including healing sick bodies and tormented minds. We have an emphasis on prayer and on seeking God’s wonderful power and presence. Our desire is that Jesus would be worshipped at our church in a passionate, wholehearted way, and with much creativity. Our dream is that warm relationships and great compassion will be a hallmark of this church. We teach people how to live according to Biblical principles in a way they can understand and follow. As the pastors, it is very important to us that you feel loved and welcomed in our church. Whether you are a committed Christian, or just exploring spiritual things, we want you to feel comfortable. We make it a point to not put people “on the spot”.
Some people describe our church as organic, because we are using a very simple, relational model. Others may describe it as grassroots. The bottom line is, lives are being changed, people are being taught to be radical followers of Jesus, and families are being reconciled to one another.
This sounds great!! How do I get involved?
We want people to engage with Renaissance Church where they feel most comfortable. Here are some ways you can currently connect with us:
We currrently have larger gatherings once a month, which usually range between 20-80 people. These are our Church Meetings. They include worship, the sermon, and prayer at the end. Find out about upcoming events.
We have outreaches once a month in which you can help bless and minister to the community by doing servant evangelism, or by meeting people’s physical needs (with a full Thanksgiving meal, for example).
We also have small Bible studies that meet in various places (we call them Discipleship Groups). This is a great way to make relationships and grow in Christ!
We have hour-long prayer meetings once a month, with the option to stay and pray all night. What a great time of prayer and uninterrupted worship!
Renaissance Church is a great place to get involved. We are looking for leaders whom we can train to be an important part of what God is doing at Renaissance Church. The possibilities are endless. We also need volunteers in the worship team, in outreach, and in administration. Our desire is to train and release you to do what YOU are called to do!
